5 Onto-Hermeneutics of “ Liyi Fenshu”: Ontological Feature of Confucian Classics
CHENG Zhong-ying
Today, the purpose of study of Chinese classics is not simply to establish Confucian classics as canons of traditional Chinese Learning but to promote Confucian learning or Confucian philosophy as learning and understanding of identity of humanity, the fundamental generative ontology of humanity through onto-hermeneutics. “Liyi fenshu 理一分殊 (one principle and many manifestations) ”is the core proposition of Song-Ming Neo-Confucianism. This proposition occupies an important position in development of Confucianism as a holistic philosophy which involves ontology, epistemology and ethics. In contemporary times, these three aspects of Confucianism are merely studied mostly as objects of commentaries or historical expositions in Confucian Classics in so far as I can see. How to take a step forward for theoretical and creative development is a serious challenge. How to work out implications and ideal values in the Confucian texts is something we need also to face as a problem. Regarding the sources of this doctrine, one view is that it originated from Buddhist theory of huayan (华严). Although I see its relevance, I argue more for the initial relevance of the tradition of Yijing learning. For it is in the system of the Yi one can easily see the functioning of “liyi fenshu” whereby the power of qian realized its wide distribution in the kun. As for the mind-philosophy in the School of Wang Yangming, what needs to be stressed should be the active initiative of the mind which unifies experiences into one dynamical unity. Hence we may not have to rely on Chan Buddhism as a necessary source. What I wish to point out is that there is already a tradition of the dao in Confucianism and its many presentations finally come to the ideas of li and qi and thus the proposition of “liyi fenshu”. In the beginning of Neo-Confucianism in Song, this idea presents itself in Chang Hao and Zhang Zai as direct experience of the ultimate reality. The result of my analysis is that “liyi fenshu” also requires“qiyi fenshu 气一分殊”(one qi and many manifestations of qi). This shows the unity of li and qi and their unity in oneness as well as in manyness. This relationship can be said to support the unity of heaven and man, unity of human self and others, unity of knowledge and action, unity of ren and yi or other virtues. With these being said, we have a unity of onto-cosmology, epistemology and ethics to be experienced as a resonance of the creativity deep in the nature and mind of man, which eventually illustrates the principle of“one origin and many particularities”(yiben fenshu一本分殊or yiben wanshu一本万殊).

13 Comparison Between China’s and Japan’s Color Culture: the Color Image Based on National Mentali
TIAN Shao-xu1,XU Li-jun2
Color image is an important part of a nation’s color system, and one of the most distinctive hallmarks which distinguishes its color system from that of others. Color image is closely related to national mentality. It involves a country’s geography, history, ethnicity, religion, culture, social patterns, and way of life. Different nations have their own unique color mentality and image, and thus different color cultures. With different cultural backgrounds, China and Japan have both similarities and differences in color image. As early as in the Warring States period, Chinese people associated “wu se (five colors)” with “wu xing (five elements)”, which later evolved into a philosophy of color with Chinese characteristics. While in Japan, the color conception which worships nature remains alive today. This paper explores the similarities and differences in color mentality and preference between China and Japan, analyzes Chinese audience’s color mentality, and learn from Japan’s color images. Hopefully, this study may provide a useful reference for China to build its own color image system and dynamic spatial coordinates.

19 The Color Semantic Orientation of the Bei-Shan Dresses with Horsetail-Based Embroidery of China’s Shui Nationality
ZHANG Chao, ZHU Xiao-jun
Endowed with rich emotional and figurative meaning, color has special connotative meaning. With unique aesthetic and cultural value, color language has important directive features in the development of human history. The Bei-Shan dresses with the horsetail-based embroidery are not only exquisite and unique in terms of technique, but also have gorgeous and splendid colors. Probing into the semantic cause of its color language and unique connotations reflected in the folk culture, the author of this paper concludes color of the Bei-Shan dresses symbolizes ancient Shui people’s social status, intelligence, happiness, wealth, familial affection, love, and the psychological need of original aesthetics. With rich connotation, the color of the Bei-Shan dresses of the horsetail-based embroidery has become an artistic expression of feelings in the national and folk culture of Shui people. It plays a special role in specific historical periods and circumstances of life which is irreplaceable by any other artistic language.

25 Theological Interpretation of the Confucian Classics in the Han Dynasty
KANG Yu
The fusion of theology and the study of Confucian classics is one of the important characteristics of the interpretation of Confucian classics in the Han Dynasty. DONG Zhong-shu employed “ Tian Ren Gan Ying (interaction of heaven and man)” to interpret the Confucian classics, which licked off the trend of interpreting classics from theological perspective. MENG Xi and JING Fang sanctified the Confucian classics with the image-numberology of yi tradition, and made the image-number model, which advocated human conducts should be in conformity with the dao (principles) of heaven and used eight trigrams to represent everything in the universe, an important way for people in the Han Dynasty to understand the world. “Chen Wei” introduced “jing (classics)” into “wei ( divination)” and Bai Hu Tong Yi was compiled and published by imperial order, which made theological interpretation of classics even more prevalent in the Han Dynasty. This trend should be an important product of the fast development of New Text Confucianism, and a result of the expostulation tradition in politics of the Confucian scholars in the Han Dynasty. However, its inherent over-interpretation and inability to fulfill the high ideals of serving the country is predestined to its weak vitality, and made it hard to be handed down to later generations.

31 Marx and Luhmann: Division and Integration of Civil Society
HE Zhen
For Marx, the deviation of state from civil society is due to the social division caused by the capitalist mode of production in industrial society. As Marx took civil society as a class society with interest conflicts, the integration of society must thus be achieved through the elimination of class tension and antagonism. Luhmann, based on the function-differentiated modern society, held that society could be viewed as a system with differentiated functions, whose unity could be achieved through the communication and coordination of the subsystems. However, the fact that the communication of subsystems becomes possible boundaries just implies it is impossible to integrate the whole system. Although the two social theories have differences in the premises and the conclusion, “trust”, as a basic social fact, is not to be absent in sociological theories in whatever form, as society is made up of people interacting and communicating with one another.

36 Interpretation of Guaxiang and Guanyi in Shuogua by Mathematical Logic
WANG Jun-long
Shuogua is a classical book about guaxiang (hexagrams) and the nature of bagua (eight trigrams). Modern Yijing studies tend to analyse the nature of bagua from the angle of contradictory relationship. As for what are the four pairs of contradictions in bagua, there are mainly two views among academics. One is that the opposite relationship between yin and yang determines the contradictory relationship between eight trigrams, the other is that the fact that each pair of hexagrams are “fei fu ji fan (either reversed or opposite)” determines the contradictory relationship between eight trigrams. It is generally believed what the contradictory relationship in bagua reflects are philosophy issues, but actually also mathematical problems. Analysis of guaxiang from the angle of the opposite and complementary relationship between yin and yang corresponds to binary Boolean algebra, analysis of the contradictions of guaxiang from “fei fu ji fan” hexagrams corresponds to Tai Chi algebra quaternary logical model. But binary Boolean algebra goes contrary to Tai Chi’s thought of yin and yang. For example, kungua is taken as null set and makes the subset of “liuzi (six trigrams, namely zhen, xun, kan, li, gen, and dui). Tai Chi algebra quaternary logical model proves: Shuogua is a paper on logic with rich mathematical logic connotation. To be specific, bagua are eight logic paradigms (equations) constituting a relatively complete logic system. In Shuagua, the correspondence between bagua and human form is actually the representation of a logic diagram with human form. The new logic structure in Shuogua is the mathematical basis for the construction of general Tai Chi algebra.

43 LI Da’s Important Contributions for Sinicization of Marxism around 1930
SONG Jing-ming WU Xiang-wei
Around 1930,LI Da insisted on research and propaganda of Marxism in the white terror, and made important contributions for sinicization of Marxism: Translating and publishing works of Marxism, provided indispensable premise for sinicization of Marxism; Paying attention to integrate theory with practice, correctly answering where to go after Chinese revolution failed in 1927 ,reflected the historical trend of sinicization of Marxism; Meeting the needs of Anti-Japanese War, writing Chinese first Marxist philosophy the Outline of Sociology, established the system of Marxist philosophy with Chinese characteristics; writing the Outline of Economics, comprehensively and accurately expounding Marxist economics principle, promoted the spread of Marxist economics in China.

49 On the Innovative Mechanism of Rural Grass-Root Self-Government: Based on Overall Planning of Urban and Rural Development
MA Bu-guang
Since China’s reform and opening up, there has been a constant improvement in China’s governance patterns at grass–root level, which has gradually evolved from the villagers’ and urban residents’ self-governance to community autonomy in both rural and urban areas. However, in the context of overall planning of urban and rural development, the grass-root self-government in rural areas faces challenges in the aspects of election, decision-making, and supervision. To innovate rural grass-root self-governance mechanism, we need to define laws and regulations in detail and innovate system establishment mechanism, to improve the villagers’ quality and innovate the benefit guarantee system, and to shape citizen culture and ingenuity cultivation mechanism.

55 New Changes in the Rules of International Direct Investment and the Consequent Influence and Challenges to BRICs
HUANG He
Following the outbreak of the financial crisis, great changes have taken place in the world economy. With the rapid increase of the overseas investment of the BRICs, the core regions leading the world economy are shifting from the developed countries to the emerging economies with the BRICs as representatives. Meanwhile, the Western countries generally believe the common features of the BRICs’ international companies are that the government plays an important role in business operation, and that many large state-controlled enterprises have sprung up in some industries of strategic importance. These so called “state-controlled entities” have become a dynamic force in international direct investment, obviously demonstrating strong intent to seek asset in M & A in developed markets. With the rapid development of the BRICs’ foreign acquisition, many developed countries start to adopt new policies and measures to restrain the overseas direct investment dominated by the state-controlled international companies of the BRICs. The BRICs will face big challenges in the next round of rulemaking for international trade and economy.

64 Spatial Economics Paradigm Logic on the Basis of Endogenous Perspective
SUN Hao-jin
The Western mainstream economics lacks spatial dimension, in which spatial factors have been ignored, whereas in the economic theories about space, spatial factors have been put into exogenous analysis under instrumental rationality. Space is static. It is only a dependent or utilized instrument. However, space has not only exogenous dimension, but also endogenous dimension. It participates in, influences and determines economic growth by changing its own structure. This logic mainly consists of asymmetric effect, self-organization effect, and externality effect, which evolve from spatial structure. That is, the endogenous logic of spatial economics is based on the space in dynamic evolution. This is the theoretical basis for the construction of endogenous paradigm of spatial economics. Only through gradual accumulation can this paradigm break down resistance to substitute another paradigm. On the basis of a clear logic, the endogenous research paradigm of space should choose more appropriate analytical approach and tools to further integrate the mechanism and the methods of the paradigm.

72 The Implication of Chinese Financial Condition for Credit Rationing
CHEN Jian-hua, LI Hui
With financial reform and economic development, the financial condition has improved in China. Private financial institutions are emerging rapidly, allowing businesses to have more access to bank financing and credit rationing. The financial conditions determine the intensity of the credit rationing in each region, and credit rationing, in turn, propels economic development. Through the analysis of the panel data from 2008 to 2014, we draw the following conclusion: the expansion of the financial development scale does not necessarily push up the credit rationing; the more developed the market is, the more effective the credit rationing is. Therefore, under the circumstance that the financial conditions have changed, China should promote the coordinated development of regional economy, with coastal areas as a drive engine for the development of surrounding areas. Besides, each province should increase its relative index of market economy. Finally, the government should scale up its support for the remote areas such as Northwestern China so as to use the credit funds more effectively.

79 Impact of Innovation upon the Decline of New Ventures
ZHANG Yong-yan
In the complex and constantly changing economic environment, how are the innovative activities of the new ventures with different market structures related to the decline of their return on assets (ROA)? Studies show that product innovation significantly reduces the chances that a new venture could decline while research spending is the opposite. The higher the business density is in an industry, the less likely the new ventures are to decline. However, the more concentrated the market is, the more likely the new ventures are to decline. Therefore, new ventures need to balance their current resources, and more effectively turn innovation investment into the actual output. On the part of local governments, they need to properly reduce the entry barriers to make new ventures stronger and more innovative.

86 The International Criminal Court and Human Rights Security: on the Application of Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
ZHENG Yuan-min,LI Xiao-di
Although the International Criminal Court was established only a short time ago,it is important to international criminal trials, and particularly in human rights security. The cases to which the International Criminal Court applied Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide indicate the law has been exerting its positive function in protecting human rights such as ruling serious violations of human rights, enforcing interim measures, and promoting world peace. In application, however, the law faces a lot of challenges: its jurisdiction is questioned; the international criminal courts are not yet very common; impunity still exists. In this case, the author suggests that measures should be taken to improve the current situation. Firstly, we should define jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court. Secondly, we should expand the applicable scope of the crime of genocide. Third, we should strengthen the execution of the International Criminal Court.

92 Preventative Value and Implementing Strategies for Securities Tort Compensation System
LEI Gui-sen, ZHANG Guo-ping
The preventative value of securities tort compensation system makes securities tort relief an effective way to curb securities tort. In the legal sense, securities tort relief is expanded from providing relief to victims in specific cases to controlling securities tort at macro level. It turns out that securities tort cannot be effectively prevented simply through investigation of responsibilities in public law, and that the current single lawsuit and class action lawsuit are defective. To realize the preventative value of the securities tort compensation system, the rational path for securities tort relief is to establish a compensation system to help provide relief to all victims. China’s indefinite population representative’s lawsuit system is an appropriate option.

98 Value Orientation and Path Choice of Legal Actions of Economic Management
LI Wei-shun
Freedom and order are the basic value of law. Unity of the two is the guideline for a country’s economic management, restraining the legal actions of economic management and providing a value measure for the evaluation of the legal actions of economic management. In addition, it helps bring full into play the role of the legal actions of economic management in comprehensive deepening of reform. For the legal actions of economic management, freedom is the goal value, while order is the tool value. At present, to achieve the unity between freedom and order, we need to make efforts in the following areas: scientifically distribute and regulate economic management; exert positive function of macro-control and market regulation; improve the evaluation mechanism for legal actions of economic management.

103 Identity Urbanization of Migrant Workers from the Perspective of State-Centrism
WANG Chun-lei
As a collective actor, the state has its goals and priorities. It adjusts the macro-policy concerning the urbanization of migrant workers in accordance with its strategic goals. Being the implementing subjects, the urban governments are, on one hand, restrained by the state’s policies about migrant workers, on the other hand, have their own responsibilities and objectives. The impact of the state’s policies about migrant workers on the fiscal conditions of the cities and the interests of city residents could directly affect the implementation of the policies at local level. Decentralization between central government and local governments and non-reciprocity of responsibility and rights make urban governments deviate from the national goal in the implementation of national policies. As key actors, the urban governments follow the principle of fulfilling their own responsibilities and goals. They, therefore, are selective about the policies concerning urbanization of migrant workers, and choose to gradually open up some social security programs. The inter-subjectivity of modern society and the complexity of the identity urbanization of migrant workers result in the limitation of the government policies under state-centrism.

111 Stigma Scale for the Siblings of the Mentally Disabled, Its Validity and Reliability
LIANG Lu-yin
Among all kinds of disadvantaged and ethnic minority groups, mentally disabled people are vulnerable to stigmatization. In China, however, there has been little research on the stigmatization of mentally disabled people, and their relatives and care takers in particular. It is important to establish a stigma scale for the siblings of mentally disabled people. Taking into account the population structure and the characteristics of China’s mentally disabled people, we establish a scale on the basis of the stigma scale of Mak and Cheung, and further make evaluation and modification of it through translation, expert evaluation and open interviews. It is an innovative attempt which conforms to Chinese native culture and truly reflects the real life experience and mental health conditions of the siblings of the mentally disabled. We employ Cronbach α, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis to test the reliability and validity of the scale. The results show that this scale is a stable and reliable evaluation tool. It effectively reflects the actual situation of the stigmatization of the healthy siblings of mentally disabled people in China.

117 Types and Validity of Cross-Civilization Studies in Comparative Literature from the Perspective of Variation Theory
CAO Shun-qin, ZENG Yi
Cross-civilization studies in comparative literature from the perspective of variation theory is classified into similarity comparison and difference comparison. The similarity comparison emphasizes “seeking similarities” on the basis of equal discourse rather than “assimilation” based on discourse coverage. And the difference comparison includes the influence variation in the influence study, the interpretation variation in the analogy study, and the new category of the analogy study—common topics in different discourse. The influence variation mainly focuses on the real but neglected variation factors in the influence study. The interpretation variation enriches the traditional analogy study in two aspects: the heterogeneity and two-way interaction of discourse, and the connotation analogy and over-interpretation of interpretive availability. Common topics in different discourse, a new category of the analogy study, is a breakthrough in analogy study on the dimension of heterogeneous discourse. All these cross-civilization studies make difference comparison valid, which enriches the theories of comparative literature, and is a comparison of “seeking both similarities and differences” in its true sense.

122 The Cultural Function of the Narratives of Ancient Buildings and the Suggestions for People Today
SHEN Jin-hao
The narratives of ancient buildings are an important part of our cultural heritage. They have important cultural functions. They record the social situation and environmental condition when the buildings were constructed, and reflect the authors’ emotions, values, outlook on life, represent the ideas of the time. Besides, they breathe life into the buildings, giving them a soul and character, and making them elegant and artistic. They are not only literary works, but also part of the cultural industry creating added values. They suggest us that the cultural industry requires great literary masters. Following the tradition of writing narratives for buildings helps maintain traditional Chinese culture, encourage the writers themselves, recover the history consciousness and “the Three Immortalities” valued by Chinese traditions, and rebuild a culture which has great esteem for literature.

128 On the Beauty in Aesthetics and Its Construction of Meaning
ZHANG Du-ai
The aestheticization of everyday life is a prominent phenomenon in contemporary life. The useage and meaning of ‘beauty’ get unprecedented expansion, which maks the boundary between the ‘beauty’ in aesthetic sense and the ‘beauty’ in non-aesthetic sense become obscure and confused. The useage and meaning of ‘beauty’ in aesthetic sense are related with the etymology、the pragmatics and the philosophy of essences of beauty. When the object is transformed or elevated to the identical relationship with the subject, the object become the aesthetic object and has the beauty. And the harmonious sense based on the identity and uniformity is the aesthetic sense. The essences of beauty is a syncretic state which is created by the fusion between the object and subject. In this identical state, every materiality is sublimated spirituality, private subjective feeling is elevated to pure feeling, and the sensible image of object represents its essence and spirit.

135 The Comparative Perspective and Holistic View of Aesthetics of the “Urban Generation” Filmmakers
ZHAN Di
In contemporary movie industry, in chronological sense, “the sixth generation filmmakers” are called “the urban generation” by Western academics. They use their cameras focusing on the ever changing urban society, and try to engage into a dialogue with their Western counterparts in aesthetics. The “absent” Chinese traditional culture is actually “present” in all their movies, providing them with rich spiritual nourishment. As to the techniques, the Italian Neo-realism, the French New Wave, and American New Hollywood allow them a deeper understanding of modernity. Their movies, aesthetically linking tradition and reality, and East and West, are shaped to have a holistic view of aesthetics with a bit of “neo-realism”.

140 Research on Lingnan School and Literature Study of Its Poetry
YANG Quan
The research on Lingnan Scholl and the literature study of its poetry are two subjects which are distinct from and yet related to each other. Lingnan School originated from Tang and Song Dynasties, and rose to its fame in late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties. For more than six to seven hundred years, Lingnan School dominated the literary world, becoming an important group in the same league as the brilliant poets in central China and the southern bank of the Yangtze River. From Ming and Qing Dynasties to modern times, there had been comments and judgments on Lingnan School. But in contemporary China, few take it as a separate subject for research. It is important for the academics to make a systematic research on the school’s history, activities, origins, styles, achievements, and historic influence.

149 A Colonization Tool of the Portuguese Macao Government in 19-20 Century: Baishalan Leprosarium on Little Hengqin Island
WU Yu-xian
Leprosy is of special significance to Macao. It is closely related to Macao’s social development throughout history. At the end of 19th century, the Portuguese Macao government moved the leprosarium which had been in Macao for over three hundred years to Baishala of Little Hengqin Island. Apart from health and epidemic prevention concern, the Portuguese Macao government hoped to occupy the Little Hengqin Island on that ground, and thus justify their sovereignty over the island. On the excuse that the patients should be protected from pirates, the government dispatched people to station on the island collecting taxes therein. The Baishalan Leprosarium is actually a colonization tool for the Portuguese, a bridgehead established by the Portuguese Macao government for colonization. It is a typical case for the research on medical colonization in social history.

156 Predicting Model in Network Impact: a Monitoring and Warning System for Public Opinion in Universities under Big Data Framework
Liu Xiangdong,Cao Yuting, Li Limei
The Internet has great impact on the dissemination of ideas, and in particular public opinion, among college students. Under these new circumstances, it is of great significance to build up and gradually improve a monitoring and warning system for public opinion in universities, which will enable us to know how the students think, and address relevant issues in order to help them to establish the correct "three-values". This paper proposes a monitoring system for college student online public opinion, a predicting model of user influence based on the continuous time Markov process, through which we will find the most influential users (key figures) the social network of college students. With an automatic text classification method based on machine learning, the key figures are mainly classified into three categories: positive key figures, neutral key figures, and negative key figures. Finally, the paper proposes some measures in accordance with different types of key figures to promote the development of social networking service for college students.
