创新活动对新创企业衰退的影响分析

Abstract In the complex and constantly changing economic environment, how are the innovative activities of the new ventures with different market structures related to the decline of their return on assets (ROA)? Studies show that product innovation significantly reduces the chances that a new venture could decline while research spending is the opposite. The higher the business density is in an industry, the less likely the new ventures are to decline. However, the more concentrated the market is, the more likely the new ventures are to decline. Therefore, new ventures need to balance their current resources, and more effectively turn innovation investment into the actual output. On the part of local governments, they need to properly reduce the entry barriers to make new ventures stronger and more innovative.
