Abstract:Cultural industry and technology always go hand in hand. Modern technology characteristic of “digitalization” and “networking” deconstructs the simple format between replication technology and cultural production, and completely fuses together the content carrier, transmission, acceptance and re-innovation. It brings to an end time-space separation among creation, content replication, acceptance, and consumption, and thus gives rise to new cultural service platforms supported by digital technology and networking. Currently, the fusion of cultural industry with technology is essentially an innovative way for humans to integrate modern technology with culture and economy in the digital and network era. To understand the innovative integration between modern technology and culture rather than being confined to only the specific features of modern technology and the characteristics of new cultural industry, we need to review the cultural products from a dynamic perspective, taking into account its production, carrier, transmission, and consumption, etc.
