Abstract：Energy is the fundamental resources for national development. Countries compete and cooperate to secure sustainable energy. The study of international cooperation theories started in 1970s. After years of development, many theories have come into being in this regard. The theories such as neo-realism, neo-liberal institutionalism, constructivism and neo-Marxism provide systematic discussions on the issues of international cooperation, which give us inspirations and theoretical guidance on the issue of international energy cooperation.
