数字戏剧：舞台变革、成本困境与全球实践探索

Abstract Digital technology is reconstructing the ontological foundations and value production system of theatrical art, propelling global performing arts into a digital theatre era characterized by the symbiosis of the virtual and the real. Digital theatre refers to a hybrid artistic form structurally grounded in advanced digital technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and real-time interaction. Through such vehicles as virtual scenes, digital performance, and the integration of online and offline modes, it deconstructs the physical and narrative conventions of the traditional stage, constructs a dynamic aesthetic network featuring deep audience participation, and realizes digital practice across the entire value chain. Within the three-dimensional framework of artistic creation, digital technology, and audience exper-ience, digital theatre exhibits the generative logic of a technologically mediated dynamic composite system, and its mode of creation and performance has shifted toward a digital form characterized by data-driven production, technology-enabled creation, platform-based dissemination, and feedback-driven iteration. China’s performing arts sector displays the typical characteristics of Baumol’s cost disease. Although digital technology can generate significant economies of scale by reducing marginal costs and expanding audience reach, the high level of upfront technological investment may also create a technological cost trap. global practices of digital theatre reveal a dual path in which technological adaptation and ontological adjustment proceed in parallel, jointly indicating that the liveness and corporeality of theatre are being continuously redefined in the digital context. The future development of digital theatre hinges on maintaining a necessary tension between technological empowerment and artistic authenticity. Through sustained interdisciplinary collaboration and ethical reflection, digital theatre can continue to expand the boundaries of innovation while safeguarding the humanistic core of theatrical art.
