Abstract：The morality of Confucianism centered on "benevolence" is the core value of traditional Chinese culture. By cultivating "benevolence" , it helps improve individual?morality, social harmony, national prosperity and rejuvenation. Confucian values of "benevolence, people-oriented thought, integrity, justice, harmony and peaceful co-existence” , along with specific moral codes of “righteousness, integrity, filial piety, and loyalty” , are important sources of the socialist core values. Currently, facing the adversity in the process of cultivating socialist core values, we should learn from Confucian principles, which is essential to the improvement of public quality and behaviors.
