Abstract:As a composite concept encompassing political, academic, and industrial concepts, new productivity boosters are a core indicator of national competitiveness amidst the accelerated evolution of global political ideology and major changes. It serves as the fundamental driving force for upgrading production factors and transforming production relations through technological innovation. It constitutes the logical starting point and foothold for nurturing and forming strategic emerging industries and future industries. Innovation plays a leading role in developing new productivity boosters. China possesses advantages in innovation carriers, innovation factors, and innovation markets: diverse innovation entities, a comprehensive industrial system, a sound talent pool, a developed digital economy, relatively complete digital infrastructure, immense market scale, and outstanding innovation traction. Following the dynamic evolution logic of “incubation-generation-development-diffusion-sustainability,” there is a need to strengthen the dual balance of disruptive and incremental technological innovation; optimize organizational management models to cultivate new quality production relations; clarify the laws of industrial development to promote industrial integration and upgrading; construct a “industry-region-digital intelligence” integrated innovation ecosystem, optimize the path of institutional innovation, and advance multiple national strategic innovation linkages, ranging from technological innovation, organizational innovation, industrial innovation, ecological innovation to institutional innovation. This constitutes a systematic innovation path for new productivity boosters.
