Abstract:From 1598 to 1606, the poems of the Korean poetess XU Lanxuexuan prevailed in China, and XU Yuan, the most important poetess of the Ming Dynasty, rose to her reputation during the same. XU Yuan's achievement was the result of her efforts into the study of poetry for more than two decades. There is every sign, however, that she also gained inspiration from XU Lanxuexuan's poems. Thinking highly of Tang poetry, they both modeled after LI He and each created many Changgi style poems of her own characteristics, despite different poetic atmosphere and literary individualities. Xu Lanxuexuan occupied an important position in the female poetry history during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The intersection between the poems of XU Lanxuexuan and those of XU Yuan represents multi-directional Sino-Korean cultural exchange and interaction.
