Abstract Digital-intelligent technology is reshaping the production methods, forms of existence, and ecological patterns of online literature, propelling it rapidly into the era of digital-intelligent literature. China’s digital-intelligent online literature is a new form of online literature characterized by in-depth human-machine collaborative creation, with digital intelligence and industrialization as its inherent logic, algorithm-based evaluation, traffic attention, and mass consumption as its value orientations, multi-modal symbols for content construction, and a focus on global co-creation and shared benefits. At the content level, it is gradually shifting from “gratification-driven” storytelling to “national strength narratives” that consciously undertake cultural missions; creators refine the core of “Chinese stories” through thematic transformation and enhance value by constructing narratives that integrate cultural inheritance and innovation. At the production level, it has moved beyond simple human-machine collaboration to in-depth, interactive human-machine integration based on digital-intelligent technology platforms, using multi-modal expression to boost artistic appeal and stimulate the vitality and creativity of “national-wide co-creation”. At the industrial level, it drives cross-media integration with IP as the core, fully activating industrial momentum through models such as film, television, micro-short dramas, and contributing Chinese experience to the development of the global online literature industry value chain. At the communication level, the “online literature going global” model has undergone iterative upgrades, featuring multi-stakeholder collaboration and leveraging audio-visual channels to help China’s digital-intelligent online literature gain global popularity. The narrative methods, creative techniques, industrial development, and operation models of China’s digital-intelligent online literature have been widely adopted, integrated, and adapted overseas, forming a content production mechanism with high connectivity and cultural recognition. This evolution has transformed online literature from a single-form popular literary genre into a phenomenal global co-creation and shared literary landscape, ultimately becoming a powerful driver for the prosperity of human culture as a whole.
